Robert Jenrick says Kemi Badenoch lied about her meeting with Italy's prime minister

Robert Jenrick called the Conservative leader a fantasist on Wednesday after a dispute over her Monday trip to Rome. A row started over whether Giorgia Meloni, Italy's prime minister, actually warned Kemi Badenoch against doing a political deal with the Reform party. A Conservative spokesperson rejected the accusations, stating that Jenrick's camp is inventing stories to distract voters.
