Rare night heron spotted at Holnicote for 3 days.
The black-crowned bird showed up on cameras for three days straight at the National Trust's Holnicote site. Project managers think the wetland is drawing in unusual wildlife because so much of southern England is currently dried out. It joins white storks, cranes and white-tailed eagles that have also flocked to the newly created bogs and pools.
