Between five and ten staff members will join each local team on secondments lasting just under a year. The prime minister announced this trial across 18 regions during a gathering at his new Manchester hub, No 10 North. His deputy, Louise Haigh, described the staff transfer as a major shift of resources away from London to kickstart local economic growth.
