Premier League won't expand VAR powers next season

Football fans won't see video assistant referees making more decisions, avoiding longer match times next season. The Premier League is set to reject widening VAR's scope, following advice from the Professional Game Match Officials (PGMO) body. PGMO fears using VAR for corners and second yellow cards could significantly increase game length and pressure on officials.
