Police allowing US military to handle serious crime cases reviewed

UK ministers and police chiefs are reviewing why British forces have let US military investigators handle serious crime allegations by personnel on UK soil. Victims often do not get the same protections as in British courts, with US military law having a narrower definition of rape. Suffolk and Cambridgeshire police forces are also reviewing their practices for such investigations.
