Pentagon Confirms $25bn Cost as Iran War Enters Month Three

American lawmakers grilled Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth over the US war in Iran at a House Armed Services Committee hearing. A Pentagon finance official confirmed the conflict has cost $25 billion so far, mostly on munitions. Hegseth, facing his first congressional questioning since the war began two months ago, defended the campaign, saying Iran's nuclear facilities had been "obliterated."
