Ofcom finds 21% of UK adults now use AI for news

Ofcom, the communications watchdog, has published a new report indicating that 21% of adults in the UK accessed news via an AI application or service during the last month. ChatGPT was the most popular tool, used by 13% of adults. However, over half of adults, 56%, said they trust AI-written news less than human-written stories.
