Northern Ireland could ban multi-buy deals on unhealthy food to tackle obesity

Officials in Northern Ireland are asking people for their views on proposals to stop multi-buy offers on unhealthy foods. The Department of Health said 65% of adults in Northern Ireland are obese or overweight, costing the health service about £500 million each year. Similar restrictions are already in place in England and Wales, and will start in Scotland from October.
