North Korea says conflict is coming after America expands its command in Japan

An editorial published on Friday by KCNA, the state news agency, accused Washington of preparing Japanese forces for an active regional conflict. The warning follows recent remarks from the American military commander in Japan, who confirmed his headquarters added 215 staff members over the last year. Pyongyang argued this regional build-up justifies its own push to develop a nuclear arsenal as a deterrent.
