NHS supply drivers set for five waves of strikes over pay

Lorry drivers who deliver bandages and other equipment to NHS hospitals will walk out five times between 13 October and 12 November after rejecting a 4% pay offer, Unite says. The drivers work for GXO, which runs the NHS supply chain contract, at seven depots across England. GXO calls its offer fair and says robust contingency plans will protect patient care throughout the planned action.
