NHS hands out weight-loss jab every seven seconds over past year
Doctors in England approved more than 4.6 million prescriptions for treatments like Mounjaro and Wegovy in the 12 months to March. Doncaster emerged as the top hotspot per person, where one in every 88 locals received the taxpayer-funded medicine. Total spending on these GLP-1 medications reached £706.4 million across the health service during the period.
