New vet rules let big firms hide ownership, threatening higher prices

Rules for vet ownership have changed, letting large corporate groups use brand names instead of their real company names. Vets warn this could allow firms to hide that they control local practices, potentially leading to pet owners paying more. The Progressive Veterinary Association is threatening legal action over the change, which the CMA says aims for clearer recognition.
