New US tariffs put UK at a trade disadvantage to EU

America's latest tariffs mean the EU now has a better trade deal than Britain in some key sectors. While the UK's overall tariff rate of 10% hasn't changed, the EU's blanket tariff has dropped from 15% to 10%. The new tariff rates give the EU an advantage for goods like bikes, clothing and chemicals, though US tariffs on Scotch whisky are now zero.
