New UK drowning prevention plan launches on World Drowning Prevention Day

A new UK Drowning Prevention Strategy has launched, backed by over 130 organisations, aiming for a future where everyone is safe in and around water. The strategy, along with dedicated plans for each nation, focuses on improving data, education, public awareness, and collaboration. The strategy launch follows at least 35 drowning deaths since May, many involving young people, during recent heatwaves.
