New law used for train harassment conviction
A new law against sex-based harassment has led to its first conviction, offering more protection for people on public transport. David Stroud, 44, harassed a woman on a train to London in April, just two days after the new rules started. He grabbed her hair and asked to kiss her, receiving a 12-month community order.
