New 210-million-year-old dinosaur found in Zimbabwe sheds light on spread
Scientists have found the fifth dinosaur in Zimbabwe, named Musango matusadonaensis, which lived about 210 million years ago. Musango matusadonaensis, based on a skeleton from Lake Kariba, helps explain how dinosaurs diversified across different southern African ecosystems. The new species was about 4.5 metres long and weighed around 222 kilogrammes, similar to a grown pig.
