Mobico, the company that owns National Express coaches, has agreed to a £308m cash takeover by a group linked to Spanish bus firm Autobuses de León. The offer values each share at 46p, and including debt values the business at about £2.3bn. Backers already own about a quarter of Mobico. The deal needs shareholder, court and regulatory approval and is expected to complete in 2027.
