Muleba District residents lose power as 18 transformers vandalised for copper

About 18 electricity transformers in Tanzania's Muleba District have been tampered with by people stealing copper wires. The Tanzania Electric Supply Company (TANESCO) says residents in four wards have been without power for two weeks. TANESCO has reported the incidents to the police and urged locals to report suspicious activity.
