Man sues OpenAI after ChatGPT medical advice nearly killed him

A Florida pastor is suing OpenAI and its founder Sam Altman, claiming ChatGPT's medical advice led him to the brink of death. Scott Winters, 55, alleges the chatbot repeatedly misdiagnosed his symptoms and discouraged him from seeking professional help for a pulmonary embolism. OpenAI declared that ChatGPT was not a medical professional and must not replace healthcare.
