Man Sentenced to 10 Years for Chainsaw Attack on Officer
Liridon Kastrati, a 32-year-old Albanian national, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for attempting to murder a police officer in Paisley, Scotland. On May 6, 2024, Kastrati chased PC Gary Cowan with a chainsaw. Despite denying the charges, he was convicted. The judge described the incident as resembling a horror film, noting the officer feared for his life. Following the sentencing, Kastrati verbally abused the judge and Scotland.
