Man jailed for girlfriend's death after faking hit-and-run

Matthew DuPlessis, 35, received nine years and three months in prison on Friday for causing Charlotte Dodd's death. He pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice and to causing death by careless driving while impaired by drugs. Ms Dodd, also 35, suffered fatal injuries after leaving DuPlessis's moving van in Congleton on September 23, 2023.
