Maltese businessman cleared of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia’s 2017 murder

Yorgen Fenech, 44, was cleared on Wednesday of involvement in the 2017 assassination of investigative journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia. In Valletta, Malta, a jury found him not guilty after eight hours of discussion and an 8-1 vote. Caruana Galizia's family stated that the "institutional failures" which facilitated her murder have not yet been resolved.
