British carmaker Longbow plans to start building its hand-built electric Speedster at Mira Tech Park in Nuneaton next year. The limited-edition sports car costs about £85,000 and already has a global waiting list. West Midlands mayor Richard Parker backed the firm with £3 million from a government fund, expecting over 200 skilled jobs. Co-chief Daniel Davey said regional talent makes Warwickshire best to build it.
