EU and China reach agreement on hybrid car trade

The European Union and China have reportedly found common ground regarding trade in hybrid cars. The agreement comes as EU trade chief Maroš Šefčovič is in Beijing for discussions. “Following intensive consultations, both sides have reached an understanding on the trade of hybrid vehicles in a manner consistent with World Trade Organization rules,” the Chinese statement read. The EU is trying to reduce its large trade deficit with China.
