Loch Ness Road Tragedy Claims Life Of Girl, Nine

A nine-year-old girl has died after a two-vehicle crash on the A831 between Drumnadrochit and Cannich, south of Inverness. She was a rear-seat passenger in a VW Polo that collided with a Ford Ranger at about 17:30 on Wednesday, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger was taken to hospital. Police closed the road for seven hours and are appealing for dashcam footage.
