Lib Dems urge PM Burnham to join EU migration pact

The Liberal Democrats have urged Prime Minister Andy Burnham to participate in the EU's agreement on migration and asylum, with the aim of addressing the issue of small boats crossing the Channel. Such a step would enable the UK to lawfully send migrants back to the initial EU nation they arrived in, and also gain entry to the bloc's biometric data system.
