Labour demands Richard Tice apologise for telling people to enjoy extreme heat
Bridget Phillipson, the party chair, said the Reform UK deputy leader owes an apology to crews who risked their lives fighting recent wildfires. Tice argued at a press conference this week that people should stop being gloomy and instead celebrate how warmer weather improves English sparkling wine. Labour is heavily criticising the remarks as ministers prepare to rule on two enormous North Sea drilling projects.
