Actor Kristin Scott Thomas plays a glamorous grandmother hunting for presents in this year's John Lewis Christmas advert, the retailer's 20th annual festive campaign. She is pulled along by Pickles, a talking toy dog voiced by the comedian Paul Whitehouse. The ad uses a Sam Fender cover of a Rolling Stones classic and debuts online today before reaching television screens during Coronation Street this evening.
