Hull adventurer Karl Bushby has been welcomed home by crowds on the Humber Bridge as he completes a 28-year, 31,000-mile walk around the entire world. The 57-year-old former paratrooper, who set off from Chile in 1998, said he was overwhelmed and called the bridge almost symbolic. He told BBC Radio Humberside he had pushed his cart, The Beast, through 29 countries without using any transport.
