Jamaica asks King Charles: Does Britain legally owe slavery reparations?
The Caribbean country wants him to ask the privy council, an appeals court in London, if Britain legally owes compensation for the slave trade. Olivia Grange, Jamaica's culture minister, flew to the UK this weekend to hand in the petition and meet British politicians. She says the historic kidnapping of 12.5 million Africans still harms the island's economy and education systems today.
