Israel's spy chief fires top intelligence officials
Mossad's leadership changes come as an argument grows over who is to blame for failing to bring down Iran's clerical government during the ongoing war in the Gulf. General Roman Gofman, who leads Israel's intelligence agency, directed that the heads of its Intelligence Directorate and Iran Division be dismissed. An Israeli national TV report on August 6 claimed these changes were made.
