Israel criticises Nobel Peace Prize for judge Navi Pillay

Israel's Foreign Ministry called the award a "grotesque weaponisation" that legitimises "anti-Israel hatred and prejudice." Pillay, a former UN human rights chief, chaired a UN commission that concluded Israel committed genocidal acts in Gaza. The Nobel committee said her award was for her "whole work" and not a position on the Gaza conflict.
