Isle of Man Legalises Assisted Dying

Isle of Man Legalises Assisted Dying

Virtual-Pano, CC BY-SA 4.0, via Wikimedia Commons

The Isle of Man has legalised assisted dying after its bill received Royal Assent, but the service is not expected to start before April 2028. Terminally ill adults who have lived on the island for at least five years and have 12 months or less to live will be able to apply. Every request will face strict medical checks and an independent review after death.
