AI Can Predict Cancer Survival From a Single Face Photo, Study Finds

US researchers at Mass General Brigham say an AI tool can estimate a cancer patient's chances of survival from one photo of their face. Trained on more than 40 million images, it found patients in the highest-risk group had over three times the death rate of the lowest. Published in Lancet Digital Health, the tool is not yet ready for routine hospital use, experts warn.
