An NHS trust is being prosecuted over the deaths of two young girls with sepsis at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford, Essex. Three-year-old Zadie Ajetunmobi died in 2022 after waiting over seven hours for antibiotics, and two-year-old Selina Samarina died in 2024 after a junior doctor sent her home. The Care Quality Commission brought the case, and Mid and South Essex trust enters pleas in December.
