Iran's leader Masoud Pezeshkian claims Tehran holds the upper hand, even as Washington prepares fresh economic sanctions. The two sides have been deadlocked since February, with Iran closing the Strait of Hormuz while American forces maintain a naval blockade. The fighting is causing severe financial damage, and the International Monetary Fund expects the country's inflation rate to hit almost 70% before next year.
