Eighty hippos facing culling in Colombia, descended from Pablo Escobar's private collection, may find a new home in India. Mukesh Ambani's son, Anant Ambani, has offered to relocate the animals to Vantara, his wildlife conservation centre in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Vantara's CEO Vivaan Karani wrote to Colombia's environment minister, pledging a specially designed habitat and full care for the herd.
