A US ICE agent shot a man in the Bronx during a targeted enforcement operation on Thursday, Homeland Security said. The man was alive in hospital. Officials alleged he was a Dominican national with prior convictions. Mayor Zohran Mamdani called it unconscionable, saying early reports indicated agents surrounded him and a five-year-old child in a car before firing. Governor Hochul asked for body-camera footage publicly.
