30C in the south east today: the Met Office forecasts a dry, sunny and very warm Saturday across southern England, breezier along the Channel coast, while a rain band crosses Scotland and turns showery. Sunday breaks the heat everywhere: fresher air, sunny spells and showers that could turn heavy, with the south east peaking near 25C. Another hot spell then builds day by day into next week.
