Hamas agrees to disarm in Gaza under Donald Trump's new peace deal

The Palestinian group has eight months to surrender all its weapons and hand over maps of its underground tunnel network. This breakthrough means an administration of 15 specialists will eventually manage the strip, supervised by a US-led peace board. In exchange, Israel's military will pull out of the territory and permit relief supplies, building on a truce that started in October 2025.
