Hackers broke into a support platform used by EY and stole client tax documents over two weeks in spring. Regulatory filings this month show Social Security numbers, financial account codes and card details were exposed, with clients offered two years of identity monitoring. The ShinyHunters gang claimed the attack on Monday and threatened to leak the data by 31 July, though its claims remain unverified.
