Guatemala evacuates hundreds of villagers as Fuego volcano erupts

Hundreds of residents left their homes after the mountain started sending streams of lava and ash into the air on Monday. Conred, the disaster management agency, issued a nationwide orange alert and closed nearby schools. Officials shut down a major highway nearby while emergency crews sheltered families displaced by the activity.
