German politicians want a new law to protect cancer survivors from discrimination
German politicians want a new law to stop banks and insurers from discriminating against people who have beaten cancer. The Social Democrats proposed a five-year rule to hide past diagnoses, and several high-ranking party figures who survived cancer have backed it. However, the German Insurance Association warned that companies need to assess health risks properly.
