George and Amal Clooney flee French home due to nearby wildfire

George and Amal Clooney had to leave their main home in south-eastern France because of a nearby wildfire. The couple, who bought their estate in Brignoles in 2021, wrote to the mayor saying they hope their home survives. The fire started on Wednesday afternoon, burning about 130 hectares and forcing 600 residents to evacuate.
