France could lose £160m UK funding over Channel crossings
France stands to forfeit £160 million from the UK if it does not adequately prevent Channel crossings as part of a "payment-by-results" arrangement. A pact endorsed by the Home Secretary in April allocated £500 million to enhance enforcement on French beaches, with an additional £160 million contingent on reducing migrant figures.
