Foreign Office warns Brits to avoid Bahrain and Kuwait over US-Iran conflict
Despite Washington and Tehran announcing a diplomatic agreement on 17 June, the updated guidance warns British travellers about sudden airspace closures and cancelled flights. Since 8 July, Iranian forces have carried out retaliatory attacks targeting American military bases and civilian infrastructure within Bahrain and surrounding areas. Drones have also attacked the main passenger airport in Kuwait on several occasions since this wider conflict began.
