Flat-Pack, Second Hand: Ikea Opens Its Own Resale Market to Rival Vinted

Wikimedia Commons

Ikea has opened a second-hand marketplace in the UK and Ireland where Ikea Family loyalty members can buy and sell the retailer's own used furniture and homewares, taking on eBay and Vinted. Items cost on average 60% less than new. Sellers scan products to get suggested prices, photos and measurements, and can choose cash or a 15%-boosted gift card. Mattresses, appliances and food are excluded.
