Fifa is expected to fall short of Gianni Infantino's 2023 ambition of equal prize money for the 2027 Women's World Cup in Brazil. Reports suggest the women's pot will be around $220m, double the 2023 figure, but matching the men's 2026 tournament would need at least $511m. Fifa has already matched preparation funding at $2.5m for each team. A final decision is due in December.
