Ben Gannon-Doak, Bournemouth's winger, played a part in the second goal, passing the ball back to captain Lewis Cook from a short corner. Cook's low cross crept in at the near post six minutes into the second half. Gannon-Doak also forced a smart save from Villa keeper Marco Bizot, and Bournemouth now face Liverpool in the quarter-finals.
