False claims about sunscreen causing cancer are spreading

Social media posts are wrongly claiming that sunscreen causes cancer, despite health experts confirming it does not. Experts are concerned that these unfounded assertions are gaining traction amidst increasing rates of skin cancer. The NHS also advises wearing sunscreen even on cloudy days, as UV rays can still cause sunburn.
